We have declared Bluenose Belle (pictured) in the 3.38pm at Huntingdon on Wednesday – a two miles handicap hurdle. We have been waiting for better ground for her and hopefully the course will continue to dry out. She had trouble in running on her recent flat outing but before that had shown consistent form over hurdles and will hopefully have an each-way chance in this event.
Neeps And Tatties made a bad mistake at the first down the back at Hereford on Saturday and but for this would very probably have been in the money. She looks as though she will get further on drying ground and we will look for something for her over two and a half to three miles in the coming weeks. The softer the better for her.
Six Blue has a very decent flat pedigree and having appeared not to get the trip in her bumper runs, we will now look to run her in a mile and a half flat race and hope that this daughter of Blue Bresil and do the same as her paternal brother, Constitution Hill when returning to the flat. Being from a decent Aga Khan family, getting her head in front would certainly add to her value and breeding prospects.
Cheltenham is now upon us and having attended some previews it looks a very open year, however Mighty Park and Kopek De Bordes could well get Ireland off to a good start tomorrow, whilst the Champion Hurdle is an open affair and possible Anzadam on the better going could give you a run for your money.
