Shibuya Song runs this evening in the 9pm at Kempton. She got stuck in the mud last time at Bath and hopefully conditions will suit her better here now that she has dropped in the handicap.
Organdi has been declared in the 3.03pm at Fontwell on Sunday – a three miles two furlongs handicap chase. There are only four runners and she carries top weight with Sam Twiston-Davies booked to ride. The figure of eight track at Fontwell may not suit her however she appears in good form at home, although she normally needs a longer gap between races.
Looking forward to National Racehorse Week beginning tomorrow with our yard opening in the morning to around a hundred visitors for a morning on the gallops.
We look forward to giving the public an insight into the great efforts that are made by many people in order to make sure the thoroughbred is in the best possible condition when racing on the course.
Dr George Wilson – exercise physiologist, dentist and vet Tash Seely, farrier Jim Pilcher and massage therapist Rachel Talbot will all give informative demonstrations of their work.
It will also be great to welcome Grace Muir and Dulcie West from the charity Heros, who will give a demonstration of a retrained racehorse, as well as discussing the remarkable way thoroughbreds can help the education of both the young and the old.
