We have declared Little Big Kev in a three mile novices handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter on Sunday run at 2.03pm.  This will be his first run in a handicap and hopefully the step up in trip will suit him.  Tom Bellamy will take the ride and has ridden him in the past and came in this morning to sit on him (pictured).

We were pleased with Shibuya Song’s run at Stratford on Sunday where she was only beaten three lengths by the winner.  She would prefer a more galloping track and will hopefully add to her Worcester victory of last year this summer when conditions are more in her favour.

Fighting Poet slipped coming out of the stalls at Windsor on Monday and was somewhat detached for much of the race.  However he ran on in the straight to pass a few in the final furlong.  It was a bit of a non event so we will aim him for Leicester on Monday in a similar contest.

Lizzie Rey jumped and travelled well before making a respiratory noise on the turn for home at Southwell on Tuesday.  She has had a breathing operation in the past and it’s disappointing that this has resurfaced.  She was nearly brought down two out and has returned with swelling to a leg but hopefully we will know more about the injury once our vet has re-examined her next week.

Spent a few days this week at the Goffs Doncaster Sales – the major national hunt sale of the year.  Delighted to come home with two purchases – five year old point to point winner Agent Argylle and hurdle and chase winner Tedley.  Competition was pretty strong throughout the week, so very pleased to have returned with two smart prospects.
