We were very pleased with Tech That’s run at Ffos Las on Wednesday.  Making his debut for us in the bumper, he took quite a hold in behind the leaders with Finn Lambert onboard but despite this managed to stay on very well in the final furlong to be beaten a length by the winner in what appears to have been a competitive event.  He appeared to cope well with the soft ground and this fine, athletic five-year-old looks to have a very promising future.

We are hoping to head to Ludlow on Monday with Lizzie Rey as the ground at Uttoxeter on Sunday may well be too soft for her.  This will be her first race for the Adlestrop Club and although she may improve for a step up to three miles, it looks a good starting point for her on her handicap debut.  A daughter of Kingston Hill, she is a half-sister to our dual bumper winner Pop Mistress and will hopefully give the Club some competitive fun this winter.

Today we were delighted to welcome a group from Midlands RoR to the yard for an Insight Day.  After watching the horses on the gallops and a tour of the yard, Lou Robson from Thoroughbred Dressage did a demo in the outdoor school on her retired racehorse Bailey.  The idea of these days is for people who are re-training racehorses to gain an insight of thoroughbreds in training, whilst sharing information on developing and improving the process of re-training them for other equine disciplines.

In surveys, the general public are most concerned about what happens to horses once their racing days are over and it is vital that racing does all it can to help retired racehorses to enjoy their next chapter.
