Not too many runners over the festive period but we have Organdi entered in the Lincolnshire National at Market Rasen on Boxing Day in the hope that the ground dries out.  She was placed in a Listed chase at the course and the extended trip would suit her.

We schooled a few of the string yesterday, including Shibuya Song who jumped well and will hopefully have learned from her over enthusiasm at Hereford last week.  We look forward to finding another race for her soon.

Looking forward to a great King George at Kempton as ever and Allaho looks a worthy favourite but it should be a fascinating contest with Bravemansgame and Shishkin amongst challengers.

Last night we had our staff party at the Horse and Groom in Upper Oddington.  The team were in fine form and it was a great opportunity to have our annual ‘Golden Teddy Awards’ with all members of staff winning a chocolate teddy for the inspirational efforts they have made over the last year.  We raised a glass to all our owners who have been so generous with their Christmas contributions this year and we look forward to repaying their continued support in 2024.

The evening emphasised what a great team we have here in Adlestrop and are so lucky to have so much experience and enthusiasm in the yard on a daily basis.  Wishing a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
