Very pleased with Bluenose Belle’s run at Kempton last night where she was able to come off a stronger pace and finish the race well to be beaten a length and a half by the winner.

She is entered at Kempton next Wednesday and hopefully if she comes out of the race well, she would be competitive down in grade.  With luck, she will give Geoff Lansbury some fun both on the flat and over hurdles now that she has strengthened up since we purchased her last year.

Sadly the weather has meant there is very little racing to look forward to at the weekend with Ascot and Lingfield succumbing to the frozen conditions, whilst Haydock will hopefully pass an inspection tomorrow morning.  There is always a danger of this happening at this time of year but racing has been lucky over the last few seasons that frosts have not been as prevalent.  With Cheltenham trials weekend coming up, there should be plenty of Festival clues to look forward to next week.

Beautiful frosty mornings in Adlestrop over the last few days with syndicate members Mike Edwards, Ian Kingston and friends coming to see Elfride and Totterdown respectively.  I keep being reminded what a beautiful place Adlestrop is by all visitors.
