If the weather allows, we hopefully have two runners at Doncaster tomorrow with Swift Jet (pictured) in the two and a half mile maiden hurdle at 12.25pm and Mattie Ross in the three mile handicap hurdle at 2.38pm.

We are hoping to find as good a ground as possible for Swift Jet so hopefully the ground won’t get too soft.  He showed promise in his Irish point-to-point but got stuck in heavy ground at Exeter in his bumper.  His is a fine looking chasing type whose owners have been very patient and hopefully can show promise over hurdles.

Mattie Ross again would not like the ground too soft and won well for us at Market Rasen last year.  She has had a break and appears in good form at home and although this is a competitive event, we look forward to her continuing to give her owners, The Zara Syndicate, plenty of fun over the coming months.

Mostly Mozart is declared in the 4.50pm at Wolverhampton on Saturday.  He ran well over course and distance recently and will hopefully again give his owner Adam Jeavons plenty of excitement back at the track.  A son of Nathaniel, he has taken time to mature but hopefully everyone’s patience will be rewarded.

Tech That travelled and jumped well to the straight at Leicester on Tuesday before fading from three out and was eventually pulled up.  There doesn’t seem to be any reason for this so we will do some tests on him and find out the reason as he showed plenty of ability on his previous two starts.  On a positive note he jumped very well and is every inch a chaser in the making.
