Fighting Poet ran a blinder at Epsom last night to finish second in the mile and half handicap under Rab Havlin.  Travelling well to the straight – he challenged for the lead in the last two furlongs and was staying on to the line beaten a neck to give the Adlestrop Club a great amount of excitement.  The race replay can be viewed here:

As an Epsom boy, I am still to have a winner on the course but it was great that the racecourse looked after Club members so well.  Fighting Poet has run some wonderful races for the Adlestrop Club but is yet to get his head in front but hopefully will do soon.  We have made a tentative entry for him at Ffos Las next week as there are very few opportunities for him this month.

We have entered Elfride, Mattie Ross and Shibuya Song in the three mile handicap hurdle at Worcester on Monday.  Each would want different ground conditions to be seen at their best so we will see what the weather does before deciding which of the trio will take up this engagement.
