Delighted with Ned Cash’s (pictured) run at Stratford on Tuesday. Sam Twiston-Davies reported that although he pulled hard he travelled well into the race and stayed on well after the last to finish third, beaten just over three lengths by the winner.
As he gradually learns to settle he will get a bit further in time and he appears to enjoy the ground at this time of year. We will look for another race for him to follow up in soon.
We have Methodtothemagic entered at Worcester next week where hopefully she will get her ground.
It was a glorious day at Royal Ascot yesterday and I was very lucky to be treated to an excellent lunch and tea by the Royal Ascot Authorities. It was a brilliant day of racing where Ascot looked at its very best with a large, happy crowd in attendance. It is always great to catch up with plenty of owners and I aways enjoy driving there and back to avoid having a hangover.
The Ascot Gold Cup today is one of the highlights of the year and Ballydoyle look to have a great chance of winning it once again with the favourite Kyprios. However we must never under estimate Mr Mullins and winning a Cheltenham and Ascot Gold Cup in the same year will be some achievement.
