Weekend Runners & ITV Racing

Taunton was busy on Friday with Lucky Thirteen thinking it was a bank holiday and making very little effort, Beautiful People finding the trip too short and Next Lot running well but pulling too hard for his own good.

The ground at Warwick was far from ideal.  Coyaba unfortunately bled in the first, whilst Bertie Barnes and Time Wise both got stuck in the mud.  The latter frightened herself a bit at the first hurdle and was never in contention after that but will hopefully improve on better ground.

We have entered Timetobenefit in the mares bumper at Ludlow on Friday.  She worked nicely with Danny Hiskett onboard on Saturday morning with owner Helen Nixseaman in attendance.  Having won a point to point in Ireland, we are hoping she shows some promise later in the week.

I watched ITV’s first effort from Cheltenham yesterday.  On the whole I think they did well.  There are certainly some positives, including speaking to the horse’s grooms before the race.  AP certainly looked more at home between his two friends Ed and Luke.
