Lesser (pictured) runs at Kelso today in the 2.25pm.  He travelled up well yesterday afternoon and hopefully the ground will be riding on the safe side and we can find out a bit more about him.  He won his bumper and novice hurdle well and hopefully is a decent chaser in the making.

We had some welcome rain over the last few days and we have entries at Warwick on Saturday and Southwell on Monday.

It was great to welcome Chris Newport and Dean Cutbill to the yard yesterday to see Blue Hour Bay.  Their daughter of Leading Light is due to be covered by Passing Glance soon and it was great to view the stallion yesterday afternoon.  The twenty-two year old has had a great run recently siring many winners and we very much look forward to the offspring.

Pricewise made his selections for the Epsom Derby and Oaks yesterday.  I agree with his selection of Noon Star in the Oaks as she is in my horses to follow list.  Whilst he goes for O’Brien outsider Kyprios in the Derby.  Tom Segal and I normally agree on such matters but with the O’Brien team running a bit in and out, maybe Wirko who won the Blue Riband at Epsom recently will be shorter for the race after running in today’s Chester Vase.  25-1 could look value later today.
