Big Fiddle is declared at Wincanton tomorrow in the 12.55pm, a mares maiden hurdle.  She has shown promise in the past and is from a great family including Fiddling The Facts.  Her half-sister, Ifitsafiddle won for us and hopefully Big Fiddle can do the same.

However she may need a bit further than this race and after this run she will hopefully have a handicap mark which will give her more options.

It was great to welcome Chris Newport, Rob Todd and Adrian Betts to the gallops yesterday morning to see their three-year-old Landing Light filly do some cantering.

She has a great pedigree and attitude and has only been with us a few weeks but we look forward to finding out more about in the New Year when she goes a bit faster.  Hopefully she will give her owners a lot of fun and success over the coming seasons.

Congratulations to our assistant trainer Hannah Gregory for being shortlisted in the Leadership category of the Stable Staff Awards.  Hannah has been an integral part of the team for the past couple of seasons and we all wish her well in the competition.

It’s also great to see Grace Muir shortlisted in the Rory Macdonald Community Award.  Grace has re-homed many of our horses and through her charity Heros, is helping many young people with difficulties in their lives.

Both definitely deserve to be shortlisted and we wish them the best of luck in the next stage of the Awards.
