Wednesday 3rd July, 2019

A Wednesday work morning for Organdi and Madame Ritz.  The former is entered at Uttoxeter next Tuesday, having pulled her out on the faster ground at the course on Sunday.  Hopefully conditions will be more suitable next week.

Madame Ritz is on the come back trail having fractured her pastern last year.  She has always shown plenty of ability and hopefully it won’t be too long before she is back on the track for her enthusiastic and patient owners.

Sad to hear that Jack Sherwood has quit the saddle.  Jack rode for us as a conditional and I’ve known him since he was a tot in Lambourn.  He’s had some great days riding for the Nichols camp but this is a hard game and he has not had the best of luck but I am sure whatever he decides to do, he will be successful, as he is a fine young man.

We have had excellent feedback from our staff profiles on social media during ‘Stable Staff Week’.  It is an excellent initiative and thanks to Racing Welfare for delivering some delicious cake to the yard yesterday.  Anything that encourages more people to work within the sport must be supported.
