A thorough productive work morning thanks to the snow finally disappearing.  We have pencilled in quite a few races to enter in February, so hopefully everyone’s hard work will pay off soon.  Looking forward to tomorrow’s schooling morning and by the look of the forecast, it will not be a dry one.

Delighted with Ocho Grande’s first run for us at Kempton on Monday night.  Settling well for Georgia Dobie, he stayed on well up the straight to finish fourth beaten under four lengths by the winner.  He’s quite a tall horse who is strengthening all the time and really enjoys his jumping.  We will stick to the all-weather while the ground is so soft but hopefully he will give the Race Against Prostate Cancer syndicate some good days over the coming months.

I spent last night wondering whether Pricewise would tip either Ronald Pump or Great White Shark for the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham.  He has gone with the former who was runner up in last year’s event and looks great each-way value at 20-1.  The latter was the impressive winner of this year’s Cesarewitch and had won well at Galway before that.  She was third at the Festival last year in the conditional jockeys handicap and if W Mullins decided to target this race, she too could be value at 25s.
