It was good to work several of the horses this morning in the hope that some rain appears shortly.  However, it’s always satisfying educating some of the youngsters in their work and a good deal of promise was shown today.

We have quite a few still to run if weather conditions change, which they normally do once we decide to turn them out in the paddocks – so hoping patience will be rewarded.

Punchestown is always a fun week and made great viewing yesterday with Energumene impressively stamping himself as the best two-mile chaser around and as ever, domination for the Mullins and Elliott camps.

More great racing to enjoy for the rest of the week with the Punchestown Gold Cup looking particularly interesting at 5.55pm.

As you will all know, Adlestrop is a most picturesque village and there is an opportunity to come and visit on Saturday 11th June, when the Weybridge Male Voice Choir will  perform a charity concert in our beautiful church.   The event is raising money for Adlestrop church and the Ukraine Red Cross Crisis Appeal.

Our owners have been fabulous in the past with their generosity.  Many of the pew cushions in the church have the names of Adlestrop racehorses of years gone by embroidered on them, including Dark’n Sharp, Giovanna and Pak Jack.  Please do come along and support the evening if you can.
