Organdi found the ground a little bit on the easy side for her at Bangor yesterday and also the track was a bit sharp for her.  She jumped and travelled well for much of the race but the more experienced leaders set a good gallop and she was unable to go with them in the last half mile in those conditions.  Danny was not hard on her from two out and hopefully we can find some firmer ground on a more galloping track soon.

Bangor racecourse look after their owners and trainers as well as any racecourse in the country and it was great that the members of the Beautiful People syndicate in attendance had such a hospitable afternoon.  We look forward to returning to the track again soon with other runners.

It was great to welcome owner Dave Redfern and his granddaughter to the gallops this morning to see Elfride.  She is a chesnut mare by Black Sam Bellamy who is showing us promise and we look forward to her running in a bumper in the not too distant future.

Very much looking forward to attending this year’s Moreton-in-Marsh Show on the 4th September.  I am honoured to have been asked to be a judge this year of the ‘Supreme Pony & Horse’ classes, along with eventing gold medallist Laura Collett.

We will have a stand at the show for the first time where we will be launching our Richard Phillips Racing syndicate.   Our new syndicate includes the talented Fine Theatre and promising four-year-old by Pether’s Moon.  Details on the syndicate are HERE.

We are also having a free prize draw on the day with some excellent prizes.  Please do come and visit us if you are at the show.  It’s a great day out for all.  Information on the sow can be found at https://www.moretonshow.co.uk/
