As many of you will know, I have a great interest in how horses help society and in Mental Health Awareness week I think the subject is particulary poignant.
The bond between human and racehorse is often pretty remarkable. Lessons in life can be learned, especially when it comes to trust, respect, friendship and faith.
All at Adlestrop take great interest in re-homing our past legends. One such is Stop The Show who not only won a few races but was also extremely popular thanks to his character and manners.
When looking for a new home for him, I did not have to look far as Kate Johnson had ridden him in a charity race at Cheltenham and was quite obviously transfixed by him from day one.
All at Adlestrop are delighted that Kate has given Stop The Show such a wonderful life after racing and Kate is not only an adoring owner of him but also an excellent writer and journalist. Kate recently wrote a wonderful article for Pyschologies magazine which I am sure you will find both fascinating and inspiring. You can read it here:
