Great that jumping is starting back today.  Our jumping string are stepping up their work and we are looking forward to having some runners next month.  We are getting the rest of the string back in over the next few days as they build up for their autumn campaign.

The horses have done so well over the summer and we are very excited about having so many promising horses to look forward to this coming season.

Very much looking forward to this weekend’s incredible flat racing action, with the Derby and Oaks being run on the same day for the first time and the Eclipse to be run on Sunday.  Surrey has never had it so good.

There’s an article today in the Racing Post about Willie Muir.  What a fantastic result for the sport if Pyledriver could win the big one and make Martin Dwyer ‘Two Derbys Dwyer’.

I have known Willie and his family for many years and like his father, he is a great horseman and let us hope he runs a cracker for all concerned.

Hope everyone read Marcus Armytage’s very entertaining piece in yesterday’s Telegraph about Barnsy.  Many have commented on it and if you have not read it, you can do so here (click image to enlarge):
