On my way to Kempton to saddle J Gaye in the mile and a half fillies handicap at 7pm.   Hopefully the cheek pieces will make a difference and she runs well in this competitive event.

We have declared Celestial Magic for Huntingdon tomorrow in the two mile handicap hurdle at 4.11pm.  He won twice and was ultra-consistent for us before he sustained a leg injury in 2018 but hopefully this race will blow away a few cobwebs before he goes back novice chasing.  This home-bred has given his owner some great fun in the past and hopefully their patience will be rewarded this spring.

We worked a few of the string this morning and it was good to have Danny Hiskett’s father Nigel riding out.  Photo of them riding upsides –  who is more stylish?

Hereford unsurprisingly has been called off on Sunday for waterlogging and we will once again have to look for an alternative for Timetobenefit.  Mighty Elsa isentered at Chepstow on Saturday but with more rain forecast, prospects don’t sound good in Wales.
