Flying Dragon ran an excellent race at the weekend to finish third in a competitive handicap at Bath.  Given a fine ride by Saffie Osborne, he travelled well behind the leaders before staying on well in the straight to be beaten less than three lengths by the winner.  Although he appears suited by a step up in trip, we may well put a hood on him in the future to help him relax in the early part of his races.

The majority of the string continue to build up their fitness having come in from their summer holidays and we look forward to them doing plenty of cantering in September.  Hopefully they will be ready to be on the track once the ground is safe in the autumn.

A excellent article written by Peter Thomas in the Racing Post this week about Keiran Shoemark.  As many of you will know, he began his career at Adlestrop as a very young man and always had enormous potential.  It has been well documented that all has not been plain sailing for him but his attitude to adversity has been exemplary and we look forward to him riding a winner or two for the yard in the seasons to come.

Happy Birthday to Danny Hiskett who is thirty today.  In son Albert, he has had the best present possible and we look forward to him riding many more winners for the yard this coming season.
