A good work morning and delighted to make more entries for next week as the ground begins to dry up – hopefully not too much.

Having been advised on a few outsiders to back yesterday, Aspire Tower ran a cracker in the Champion Hurdle, whilst the Mullins duo failed to sparkle.  Maybe sticking to favourites is a better idea.

Yesterday’s racing was a joy and it was great to see all those horses looking so well in the sun on television.   All appeared to come back safely, part possibly due to the fact there were not too many large fields.  Let’s hope all goes well in today’s Grand Annual which can be a rather fast affair.

Rachael Blackmore’s fantastic victory in the Champion Hurdle upon the brilliant Honeysuckle – even made the BBC 10pm news.  Delighted for all concerned, including trainer Henry De Bromhead who has always been one of the game’s good guys.

Another great day of racing in prospect, possibly a day to savour rather than to punt.
