A rain dance is certainly needed as we have several potential runners, if only the clouds would open.  Great to work a few of the string this morning on a bright, sunny day and all the staff were pleased with their mounts.

A fine day of racing in prospect with both Cheltenham and Newmarket and some competitive racing on offer today.

The Craven meeting is always seen as the beginning of the flat racing season proper and best of luck to owner Ed Ware with his Royal Air Force in tomorrow’s Craven.  The impressive winner of his only two-year-old run, he has the pressure of being in my horses to follow list for the coming season and let us hope he runs a race full of promise tomorrow.

Delighted to celebrate our wonderful owner and yard sponsor Sue Harvey’s birthday in a pub garden on Monday.  Tori have been a wonderful supporter of the yard for many years and we are delighted that Sue and her husband Martin have such a decent prospect in the unbeaten Lesser.

With pub gardens now open, we look forward to welcoming visitors to the yard once again following all the covid guidelines.  Please be in touch if you would like to come and visit.
