Viva Rafa declared for Stratford

Viva Rafa is declared in the novice handicap chase at Stratford tomorrow.  He was travelling well when coming down two out at Southwell on his previous run, and was a good second at Hereford on his chasing debut.

Tom Bellamy rides again tomorrow and hopefully once again he will put up a good show.

Madame Ritz didn’t like the undulations of Leicester on Saturday night.  Jockey George Wood said she lost her action in the dip and after this was easy on her.  We will now return to the all weather or a flatter turf track and look forward to her returning to form once back on her favoured conditions.

Very much looking forward to Royal Ascot.  I have selected Scat Daddy as my leading stallion of the meeting and he has a number of chances including Sergei Prokofiev in the Coventry and Lady Aurelia in the Kings Stand.

I’m hoping Without Parole can win the St James as he is in my horses to follow competition.  Whilst my tip in the Ascot Stakes is to always back a jumps trainer in staying handicaps and W Mullins looks to have a very strong hand.

Congratulations to the connections of Laurens on a fine win in the French Oaks.  Looking forward to Happily having some more luck in future and a step up in trip.
