Very sad to hear the news of the passing of Johnny Bradburne.  The father of Mark and Lorna, he was a fantastic character who rode as an amateur for many years and not only guided his two children through their racing life but also assisted his wife Sue to train many a winner.

Sadly Sue died just over a year ago and it’s the end of an era for Scottish racing.  However the Bradburne memory will live on through their children and grandchildren and they will be well suited to racing’s ups and downs thanks to inheriting Johnny’s qualities.

Thankfully when there is a passing, there is also new life and pleased to report twelve ducklings on the lake in Adlestrop yesterday evening.  We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world, where nature is allowed to thrive.
