On the way to Exeter to saddle Picanha in the 2 mile 5 novice hurdle at 12.55pm.  Having won a point to point in Ireland and a bumper at this track, he has shown great promise and let us hope he makes a pleasing hurdling debut today and rewards the patience of his owner Lizzie Prowting.  He has schooled well at home and we will hopefully find out a bit more about him today, having been off the track with a few immaturity problems.

Keep It Brief made a promising challenge in the straight at Kempton yesterday but found the opposition a bit stiff.  With great prize money on offer we thought it worth a go, however he would probably prefer a longer trip and we will now take him hurdling as he very much enjoys his jumping at home.

Legendary sports broadcaster Jeff Stelling has announced he is stepping down from Sky’s Soccer Saturday after thirty years and will be leaving the show in May.  Jeff was one of our original owners having had a share in my first flat winner, Queen’s Cottage in 1994.

He continues to have fun with Organdi in the Beautiful People syndicate who is entered in the Badger Beer Chase at Wincanton on Saturday. and very much looking forward to Jeff having more time to go racing in the future.
