Sheelbebewhatsheelbe ran well at Warwick yesterday, staying on nicely after the last.  She will appreciate a step up in trip and hopefully if there is some rain in the next few weeks, she will be rewarding her owner Brian Duckett’s great patience.

Viva Rafa made a mistake early on in the race at Kempton and never jumped with any fluency afterwards.  We will now check him over as this is very unlike him.

It was good to welcome Gary Davies to the yard this morning.  Gary has a great history of racehorse ownership and it was a pleasure to show him around our beautiful facilities here at Adlestrop.

News in the Racing Post this morning that my great friend, Mick Easterby – is to sell his favourite green jacket he has worn for the last fifty years.  His wife says he needs a new one, therefore he is selling it in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Easily one of racing’s great characters, I am hoping a consortium is able to get together to raise enough money to buy the item and have it exhibited at the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art in Newmarket.
