Charity cricket match was a classic!

The string are enjoying the clement weather as we look forward to having some runners next week, including two-year-old Golden Deal at Lingfield on Wednesday.  She showed promise at Windsor and hopefully the extra furlong will suit.

The main jumping string continue to gain fitness and are looking shiny and well.

A great Ebor meeting at York and I thought ITV’s opening coverage on Saturday was just the ticket.  Lots of mickey taking humour with fun and enthusiasm and I think the presenters are making a very good fist of it.

Sunday’s Adlestrop Club Charity Cricket Match was a classic.  With a Phillips XI playing the locals who are league champions, it was a fierce battle – but glad to say the former won the Adlestrop Ashes, thanks to some excellent all-round performances including man of the match, Marcus Armytage.

Glad to raise a few quid for the ground, one of the most picturesque in Britain.  Many thanks to all who attended and made it such an enjoyable day.

Thanks to injury, I was unable to play this year and look forward to getting back into the team – something the opposition are also relishing.
