Very sadly Viva Rafa had a fatal fall at the first fence at Warwick yesterday.  Obviously Team Phillips are very forlorn this morning as he was a popular member of the string who we have had since a three-year-old.

He was never the luckiest and produced some good performances to finish second in bumpers, hurdles and chases.

All at Adlestrop and his owners are comforted by the fact that he passed away having been in great form, emphasised by him winning best turned out and having been bucking and squealing in the paddock yesterday morning before going racing.

Our thanks go to all at Warwick racecourse including the vets and ground staff who did everything they could to save him and also the racecourse directors who showed such empathy for all connections.
