Ocho Grande and Muthabir certainly didn’t like either Southwell surface but I am sure will return to form once on a more suitable one and will hopefully lose a few pounds from the handicapper at the same time.
Looking forward to Organdi making her chasing debut at Ludlow tomorrow in the 3.05pm. Once again the ground will not suit but it will be good to give her some experience over fences as spring and summer approach. Having won three times over hurdles for us, it would be good to start her chasing career.
Thank you to all for the many messages of congratulations for a remarkable evening for Team Adlestrop last night at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards.
Faisal came very close to victory in the Rider/Groom Award and the judges were most impressed with his brilliant interview.
The whole world is delighted that Jo Saunders has finally been recognised for her brilliance in winning the Dedication Award.
As for Phillips winning the Community Award, he quite rightly put the victory down to being surrounded by some of the kindest and talented people the world has to offer.
The Community Award is in memory of Rory MacDonald who ran the British Racing School for many years. Rory was one of racing’s great mentors and I can think of no finer honour than being associated with carrying on his brilliant work.
Thanks to the generosity of local owners, Team Adlestrop celebrated this morning with bacon sandwiches and champagne.
A huge thank you to all the sponsors and the BHA team for putting together such a wonderful evening last night.
