Tulane ran another excellent race in defeat at Wolverhampton last night. With no pace on, Luke decided to make the running and despite settling satisfactorily he was just run out of it close home by the winner.
Tulane and his owners certainly deserve a victory and hopefully we can find something for him in February.
Following months of rain, it was a delightful morning up on the gallops at Adlestrop with the string doing some routine cantering before Danny Hiskett and I ventured off to the South West.
Mighty Elsa stayed on well up the straight today in the two mile maiden hurdle at Exeter. She is still very green but is gradually learning her job and will be ideally suited by three miles and chase fences.
Hoping Richard Johnson’s arm is not as badly damaged as first thought following his fall today at Exeter. Otherwise his chance of being champion jockey this year may have receded considerably. Here’s hoping he is back in the saddle soon.
