Hopefully the ground at Warwick will have some ease in it as we have declared Picanha and Rossbeigh Strand.

Picanha steps up in trip and he has always given every indication that he would improve for this.  He appears in good form at home and hopefully he will settle well with promising conditional jockey, Finn Lambert, taking seven pounds off.  Picanha has always had the make and shape of a staying chaser and we look forward to him taking on the bigger obstacles next season.

Rossbeigh Strand also steps up in trip in the two and a half mile handicap hurdle.  Danny Hiskett takes the ride and hopefully he will settle wearing a hood on the track for the first time.  He has shown promise on each occasion this season and once again, chasing should be his forte next season.

Today it was great to welcome International event rider, Bill Levett to the yard to coach our staff with their riding technique.  Bill is a wonderful teacher and our staff always enjoy the sessions they have with him.

Later in the morning, we had a very enjoyable visit from Althea Barclay who came to see her four-year-old, Ned Cash in action along with her friends Jen Leigh and Jim and Melinda Wilson.  A son of Blue Bresil, Ned Cash moved up the gallops nicely before doing some jumping in the outdoor school.  He is well-related and should make a decent prospect once he matures further over the summer.
