Off to Kempton this evening in the hope that Tulane puts up a good show in the 8.30pm.

Thankfully the rain stopped this morning and the string were able to do plenty of exercise as we build up their fitness for the coming jumps season.

Thank God for all-weather tracks because the turf at present is pretty unbearable on the whole.  Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday is inevitably going to be affected.

The horse profiles today for your Five to Follow entries are:

Golden Deal

Golden Deal so nearly got her head in front at Lingfield recently and was not beaten far on her last run at chelmsford.  Now she has matured and learned to settle better, a step up in trip looks to be the answer and hopefully she is on a handicap mark she can win off.  She will be campaigned on the all-weather over the winter.

Highland Sun

Highland Sun has always shown ability at home and although not the biggest, has a good attitude to her work.  She made her debut at Wolverhampton recently and was hampered in the early stages, however she was not beaten that far and with some more all-weather experience, she should be winning for her patience connections this winter.

Iron Horse (pictured)

A full brother to Master Vintage, Iron Horse is a different type of character.  He has always shown promise but really got his act together in the spring and won impressively at Uttoxeter.  He likes to be up with the pace and now he has his jumping together, may well go novice chasing this season.  Two and half to three miles will suit him.
