Corrany will hopefully come on for his run at Ludlow yesterday and he very probably would like better ground to be seen at his best.  Hopefully this run will set him up for a campaign over fences over the coming months and I am sure he will give his syndicate some competitive fun once he finds his level.

Tulane appears to want a bit further now he has learned to settle and although challenging in the straight at Southwell on Sunday, he was one paced in the final two furlongs and we will now hopefully step him up in trip.

It was great to see Luke Watson’s family (pictured) at Ludlow yesterday, with the two divisions of the maiden hurdle being run in his name.  Luke was a popular member of staff here at Adlestrop and also worked for Alex Hales and Paul Webber amongst others.

When working at Alex’s he rode out with David Fitzgerald who was the commentator yesterday and gave Luke a good mention during his commentary of the second division.  We look forward to having our annual cricket match in Luke’s memory this summer with any monies raised going to Racing Welfare.
