Delighted to be stepping up the exercise with the jumpers as we prepare for an autumn campaign.

We have entered Golden Deal at Bath on Sunday following her excellent run at Lingfield last week.  She has gone up three pounds in the handicap but hopefully she is now on an upward curve.

Delighted to welcome Camilla Murdoch to the yard this morning to see her three-year-old Highland Sun do some work on the gallops.  Everyone has been very patient with this daughter of Helmet and hopefully she will be on the track in early october.

Sad to hear over the weekend of one of our favourites, Danegold (pictured).  He came to us from Mick Channon’s having done very well on the flat and was second in the County Hurdle in 2000.  He arrived with us in the autumn of 2001 and was second at Haydock on his debut for us.  He proceeded to give us all, including owner Graeme Love, a wonderful amount of fun with victories at Chepstow under George Duffield and Newbury with Chris Rutter onboard.

He had a wonderful retirement with Rea Trotman and died at the age of twenty seven.  Danegold was just gold.
