It was great to welcome members of the Cavallo Syndicate to the gallops this morning to watch Lizzie Rey do some work with Danny Hiskett onboard.  She is a half-sister to our dual bumper winning mare Pop Mistress and this daughter of Kingston Hill is turning into a very attractive five-year-old as pictured below.

We look forward to running her in a bumper for the syndicate of which some members also have a share in our bumper winning mare Mattie Ross.   There are a couple of shares available to lease in Lizzie, so please be in touch if you would be interested in joining this fun venture.

Hopefully some rain is on the way next week for some potential entries following a pleasing work morning yesterday.

Today the Aintree meeting begins and it’s twenty years since Adlestrop favourite Dark’n Sharp won the Red Rum chase race for us.  As ever, a fascinating day’s racing where Before Midnight should have a great chance in this year’s Red Rum Chase and Petit Tonnerre could be a value bet in the juvenile hurdle.

As for the Grand National, following some study the three against the field this year for me are, Fiddlerontheroof, Run Wild Fred and Fortescue.  All look to have a good each-way chance and may all come back safe and sound.
