On my way to Market Rasen to saddle Muthabir in the 5.45pm, where hopefully the rains will keep away. He has a big weight and hopefully the race will not be coming too soon for him – however he has been a star this year and he will probably have a bit of a holiday after this.
Brave Helios is declared in the 6.30pm at Chepstow tomorrow. He also has top weight and Conor Shoemark will ride. He probably needs a bit further than 2 ½ miles these days but the ground should suit him more than at Uttoxeter last time out.
A fantastic race at Punchestown yesterday with Sizing John just getting the better of Djakadam and Coneygree running a blinder. Today’s champion stayers race looks a cracker with Nicholls Canyon attempting to follow up on his Cheltenham win. As regular blog readers will know, I’ve been on about this horse stepping up in trip for a while and he should be hard to beat if in the same form.
