Worked some two-year-olds this morning on a more acceptable day weather wise in Adlestrop. Lots of steam cleaning and painting in preparation for getting some of the horses in soon.
A very hot day yesterday at Ascot but not on the tipping stakes, where picking outsiders proved to be difficult with many favourites winning.
Today is Ladies Day at Royal Adlestrop with many members of The Adlestrop Club and other owners coming to celebrate a great day of racing in the comfort of Adlestrop Village Hall.
Picking winners looks tough today but have been impressed with both Havana Grey and Santry and they will do me in the Norfolk Stakes. Whilst Benbatl could outdo Mirage Dancer in the 3.05pm. Having backed Alluringly in the Oaks, I will stick with her in the Ribblesdale as I think she will be suited by the course, although Mori looks a big danger.
In the Gold Cup, the favourite is far too short and would love to see Big Orange triumph. Possibly Endless Time is the each way value.
I’ve been told two in the Britannia, Son of The Stars and Executive Force. Whilst in the last, I will give Tartini one last chance.
