It was great to see the sun out this morning now the rain has finally stopped.  Other parts of the country have not been so lucky.  We had a good work morning yesterday and all appeared to come out of it well as most of the string have a quieter day.  I have pinpointed a few races for February in the hope the ground improves.

It was great to join Dr George Wilson last night on the Racing Welfare Instagram live on human nutrition.  As previously stated, George is an inspiration to the sport with all the research he has done into human and equine nutrition and fitness.  Well done to Racing Welfare for organising the event.

Racing’s work force are so lucky to have such support and with the charity’s recent connection with Care First, racing should be proud of all that it does for our many dedicated contributors.

As suspected, I believe Pricewise must read my blog as he has gone for A Plus Tard and Silver Streak in the Gold Cup and the Champion Hurdle.  Today he turns his attention to the Queen Mother Champion Chase and rightly sees Altior as value at 12-1.

I think the 33-1 Duc Des Genievres could be value.  Having moved to P Nicholls, he ran a fine second to Put The Kettle On before weaking after the last behind Nube Negra last time out.  He has only raced once on better ground when second in a beginners chase to non other than A Plus Tard over two milse and should the ground dry up at the Festival, he looks the value.
