With the rain, we decided not the run Gentleman Moore at Uttoxeter on Saturday as he prefers better going. We look forward to finding another opportunity for him.
Hopefully we will have a couple of runners at Southwell on Monday with Timetobenefit and Roundhead and it will be great to get back on the racecourse again.
Tulane is entered on the flat at Lingfield on Wednesday. He has been runner up on several occasions for us and hopefully having had a break, he can go one better for us soon.
A great start to the York Festival yesterday with Ghaiyyath looking like a monster in the Juddmonte International, whilst delighted for Willie Muir winning with Pyledriver in the Great Voltigeur. He has bounced back from his Epsom run and looks a class act who will hopefully give the yard some much deserved Group One success.
It will be fascinating to see Love run today in the Yorkshire Oaks as she looks a potential superstar.
Happy birthday to Ivor Herbert who is 95 today. The first novel I ever read was called Point-to-Point, written by the great man. He is also responsible for one of my favourite reads, the official Vincent O’Brien biography which is a must read for all racing fans.
