Looking forward to running our first two-year-old next week. Therefore we did some stalls practice this morning.
Yesterday The Adlestrop Club visited the Newmarket Heritage Centre. A visit is highly recommended and it is a fascinating exhibition covering many aspects of the racing world.
Thanks to the generosity of many in racing, much monies were raised from owners goodwill and the Centre will be a lasting legacy for our great sport.
Very sad to hear of the death of Tommy Carberry. Very few name shad a greater influence on my childhood than the great man. The most gifted of horsemen, his riding of such greats as L’Escargot, Ten Up and Brown Lad were highlights of a time when National Hunt racing was going through a vintage era.
He passed on many of his gifts to his children and I am sure the Carberry name will on long in the sport
