Over Stated runs at Lingfield
Over Stated is declared at Lingfield tomorrow in the 1.20pm – a 2 mile 3 National Hunt novice hurdle. As ever, it looks a competitive event with lots of promising types declared. Over Stated was purchased at the Doncaster May Sales having won a point to point in Ireland and we have been pleased with his progress since his summer break. He works nicely, has schooled well and Ian Popham rides.
We look forward to him showing some promise tomorrow for his enthusiastic owner, Ed Ware.
Master Vintage (pictured, thanks Mike Barrett!) ran well at Warwick on Friday. Settling a bit better than normal in behind the leaders, he took up the running turning from home to give The Adlestrop Club a few heart flutters. However he made a mistake at the second last which may have cost him third, but he stayed on well to finish fourth beaten just over 5 lengths.
It was great to see so many Club members in attendance and thank you to Warwick racecourse for looking after us so well. We look forward to Master Vintage more excitement over the coming months.
Membership of The Adlestrop Club could make a perfect Christmas present! See HERE for details.
Bella’s Vision didn’t cope travelling down the hill on the far side in the mares bumper and took time to get back on an even keel following this. She is a nicely bred mare who has been working well at home and hopefully we can get her out on a flatter course in a few weeks time and she will show some improvement. We will possibly ride her more prominently as she appeared to stay on well up the straight.
Good to get some schooling done on Saturday morning on some lovely turf. All jumped well under Ian Popham and we look forward to having a few more runners this week. Let’s hope the string continue to run well.
