A cold but sunny work morning as we prepare for various runners over the next few days.  Mrs Barnes is declared in the mares maiden hurdle at Huntingdon tomorrow.  She showed promise on her hurdling debut at Wetherby recently and although some of her opposition are pretty talented, we are hoping that she will come on for her recent experience and put up another promising show.

Robin Des Smoke will go to Wetherby on Monday in the 2 mile 5 mares maiden hurdle.  We were pleased with her recent ‘jumpers bumper’ run at Kempton and we are hoping that her enthusiastic jumping ability will be seen to good use in her first hurdle race.  Having won a point-to-point in Ireland, we look forward to her showing further promise for owner Lizzie Prowting.

Much has been said re the alarming images released last week.  Never before has it been so important for racing to open it’s doors to all that is good about our sport.  The love, care and dedication of many once witnessed, will far outweigh the fears of others.  It’s time for racing to act and I’m sure it will.
