We worked a few of the string this morning in preparation for next week and they appear to continue to be in good form. We have entered Keep It Brief and Flying Dragon at Kempton and Newbury respectively. The races may come a bit soon for them but there are not many suitable options for them so we may well let them take their chance.
It was great to listen to owner Colin Pocock on Radio 5 on Thursday evening during Happy Hour, discussing Shadow Walker’s birthday party. Colin was a natural and deserves to have his own radio show. If you wanted to listen to it, you can do so here. Here starts at around 46 minutes 30 seconds in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000xffl
Yesterday I had lunch with legendary vet Alan Walker, along with Gillian Dunwoody and Sylvia Bosley. It was great to catch up with them all as we go back many years, with Mrs B looking after me wonderfully well when I was a student at Witney College.
Mrs D still has a personal trainer, which probably explains why her son was a champion jockey. A great conversation of memories during the afternoon at the Kings Head in Bledington.
