Master Vintage (pictured) runs today in the 5.45pm at Uttoxeter – the two and three quarter mile handicap chase.  This will very probably be Vinnie’s last run before he has a well earned retirement.  Let’s hope he and Danny enjoy themselves and come home safely for The Adlestrop Club.

Vinnie has given us some great days, as has Muthabir who will spend his retirement at Heros www.heroscharity.org a racehorse rehabilitation centre near Wantage.  Muthabir has been a real star for the yard having won six races and been placed many times.  We look forward to him enjoying his retirement and giving confidence to young people beginning their careers working with horses.  We will hopefully be able to take The Adlestrop Club to visit him this summer.

Flying Dragon is declared in the 8.05pm at Leicester on Monday with Tom Queally onboard.  Purchased in December, having shown good flat form, he has been syndicated among five great people and we look forward to a summer of fun with him on the flat before possibly going jumping in the autumn.

We are stepping him up a bit in trip on his first run for us and hopefully we will find out a bit about him following this race.

I was invited onto the Opening Show this morning to talk about National Racehorse Week which will take place from the 12th – 19th September.  I was interviewed by Luke Harvey who couldn’t resist asking me to do a few impressions.  Hopefully we got the message across that this will be a great opportunity to celebrate the racehorse, not only this year but for many years to come.

Nick Luck has invited me on to Luck On Sunday tomorrow to do likewise and hopefully National Racehorse Week will be a great success.
