Rainy work morning

A rainy work morning with visits from owners Tony Ashall and Camilla Murdoch.  Tony is a member of the Hopeful Travellers who have Present From Dubai who looks set to run at Uttoxeter on Saturday.   Whilst Camilla has a smart Helmet two-year-old filly with us.  Both went nicely and look to have good futures.

Made some entries for next week in the mares bumper at Ludlow, with Big Fiddle and Stoney Cross.  Both are well related and hopefully will show some promise.

The grass is certainly starting to grow and looking forward to getting a few out on their holidays soon.

There are some fascinating Classics coming up at the weekend and hoping that my horses to follow list gets a boost through Saxon Warrior in the 2000 Guineas in the Fillies Classic.

Looking for outsiders, perhaps Raid at 50-1 looks value in the Colts Classic if turning up.  A lazy type, he ran well and Newbury and goes with some cut in the ground.

In the 1000 Guineas Altyn Orda looks each way value at 16-1 for the Varian yard.  She was not beaten far by Soliloquy in the Nell Gyn and looked the type to come on for the run.
