Race Against Prostate Cancer

Steve Cockell, owner of Live Love Sport Ltd and Richard Phillips Racing are proud to be collaborating to start a new horse racing syndicate that aims to raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.

The syndicate will lease five-year-old chestnut gelding, Roundhead for 2020.

Roundhead has won twice on the flat so far and is a dual-purpose racehorse who will run both on the flat and over hurdles this year.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a racehorse and enjoy the fun and excitement of following Roundhead’s progress, whilst at the same time supporting an incredibly worthwhile cause.

Cost

Roundhead is leased to the syndicate and 25 shares are available at £1000 per share to include all training costs until 31st March, 2021. 

All syndicate members will have access to a range of benefits including visiting Roundhead at our idyllic training stables in the Cotswolds and receiving a racecourse entrance pass to watch him race.

Prize money won during the year will be split 50/50.  One half will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK, and the other half distributed equally to syndicate members at the end of the lease agreement.

During the course of the year, all syndicate members will be invited to a range of fun, charity sporting events to help raise further funds for Prostate Cancer UK and socialise with other syndicate members.

Events include golf days, tennis days and racing evenings. You can even join Jeff on his charity walk!

The syndicate has it’s own ambassador in legendary sports presenter Jeff Stelling (Sky Sports), who has done so much to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.

Why Prostate Cancer UK?

One man dies every 45 minutes from prostate cancer. It already kills more people than breast cancer and by 2030 it’s set to be the most common cancer in the UK. But unlike breast cancer, you can’t check yourself and there’s no national screening program to help detect early-stage prostate cancer.
