New arrival today

Worked a few horses this morning with the heart monitors on.  Great to be getting a few of the string close to running now after their summer break.  Looking forward to jumping some horses tomorrow with Ian Popham and Danny Hiskett coming in for the morning.

Delighted to welcome a new inmate to the yard this morning, with Sue Welch sending her five-year-old mare, Stoney Cross.  She is well bred and related to many winners and we look forward to her continuing the family tradition.

OVER STATED

Over Stated is an exciting addition to the yard this season.  Following winning a point to point in Ireland, we purchased him from the Doncaster May sales for owner Ed Ware.  He came to us highly recommended and is a strong, chasing type by the excellent sire Shantou. We will probably start him off in novice hurdles in November but ultimately he looks very much a novice chaser in the making and will hopefully have a bright future ahead of him for his enthusiastic owner.

PRESENT FROM DUBAI

Present From Dubai is a very attractive four-year-old, also purchased at the Doncaster May sales.  Placed on both his starts in point to points in the emerald isle and the form of his second run when finishing runner up to a well fancied winner is looking very good. By Dubai Destination out of a Presenting mare, this athletic gelding looks as though he will favour good ground and will probably start off in a bumper in November before going hurdling.  He looks to have a promising career ahead of him.  There is a share available in him – please see details on our horses for sale page.

SHEELBEWHATSHEELBE

Sheelbe looks to have a great season ahead of her.  Having always shown ability and a great attitude, she is nicely handicapped and looks to have plenty of options over 2 ½ – 3 miles this season over hurdles, to get into the winners enclosure. With a lovely pedigree, she travels and jumps well and will appreciate a step up in trip this season, having shown promise last year.
