Flying Dragon has not been declared for Nottingham tomorrow as the ground was probably going to be on the soft side for him.  Therefore we have entered him at Bath and Newbury at the weekend where hopefully conditions will suit him better.

It was great to welcome Sue and Titch Jones and Mick Thompson to visit Totterdown this morning.  They have had great fun with the home-bred over the last few seasons and we very much look forward to him continuing to do so now he is in The Adlestrop Club.

Delighted to attend Sean Quinlan’s marriage to Liz Butterworth in Appleby on Friday.  Sean began his British race riding career with us over 15 years ago and has gone on to become an excellent jockey, of which all at Adlestrop are very proud of.  He freely admits he had a wonderful grounding in the Cotswolds with mentors such as Richard Johnson and Warren Marston who were both in attendance with my former assistant turned jockeys agent, Gordon Clarkson.

The whole day was a celebration of a special day for two great people and much fun was had by all.

Yesterday I was lucky to be selected in John Francome’s golf team in a charity event run by three-day-eventing legend Ginny Elliot.  Our team including Carl Llewellyn and Simon Sherwood.  Unfortunately our wide margin victory has been reported to the authorities and the handicapper has been asked to reassess us.
