Great to welcome members of The Zara Syndicate to the yard this morning.  Headed by racing supremo Guy Butchers, they have leased the mare Mattie Ross who showed promise in a bumper last season.  By Champs Elysees out a winning Montjeu mare, we look forward to the syndicate having some exciting times with her.

A pleasing work morning on Saturday and some excellent flat racing on show as well.  Matt Chapman was not impressed with Enable’s performance at Kempton, therefore she must be a certainty in the Arc.  She certainly looks on good terms with herself and it will be wonderful for the sport if she could achieve the three timer.

Persian King put up a classy performance to beat Pinatubo at Longchamp yesterday.  The latter has run some great races in defeat and could still end the season on a high note on Champions Day.

Very much looking forward to the Irish Champion weekend and the St Leger.  Will be willing Pyledriver on and hoping he gets the trip as he certainly didn’t look as though he was stopping in the closing stages at York.
