Lady Of Authority has not been declared for Southwell tomorrow and she has a date with Maggie our physio in the morning.  Hopefully she will back on track soon.  We have entered Pop Mistress for Newton Abbot on Friday as well as Uttoxeter on Thursday and will make a decision in the morning.

Very pleased with Flying Dragon’s run at Goodwood on Friday night.  Tom Queally said that he appreciated the step up in trip and would benefit from a flatter track.  Hopefully the handicapper will give him a bit more of a chance and as ever, Goodwood looked after us very well on what is undoubtedly the prettiest track in the world.

Apologies to report that I backed the Derby winner at 40-1 having thought it was the only value bet of the race on Saturday morning.  Racing has always been a funny old game and Adam Kirby will be the first to recognise that having lost the ride on John Leeper only days before.

Yesterday it was great to gather at St Nicholas Church in Oddington to visit Mick Barnes’s grave as it was the anniversary of his passing.  Friends and family joined together to remember one of life’s great characters and someone all at Adlestrop Stables miss very much.

Barnsy may have gone but he will never be forgotten.
